Your expertise will help enhance the quality of life for your patients by aiding their recovery through individualized therapeutic interventions.

About the Organization

Cottage Physical Therapy takes pride in its mission to deliver quality home care services. Our dynamic team is composed of board-certified Physical Therapists who are committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals across various demographics. We prioritize compassionate patient interactions and aim to provide a high standard of care to children and adults alike. At Cottage Physical Therapy, our values focus on integrity, empathy, and excellence in all we do.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing care in the homes of patients throughout the Fort Myers Beach area. Our enthusiastic work culture encourages synergy and collaboration among team members, while also offering the flexibility for therapists to choose their work hours on Monday through Friday, promoting a balanced work-life schedule. Our supportive environment fosters a culture where continuing education and professional development are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their homes to assess their physical capabilities and limitations associated with post-injury, post-surgery, and chronic medical conditions.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic methods, such as targeted exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices, ensuring optimal recovery and mobility outcomes for patients.
  • Document treatment progress meticulously, analyze patient responses, and adjust therapeutic goals as necessary based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
  • Provide education and training for both patients and their family members on self-management strategies and the proper use of assistive devices to enhance independence in daily activities.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including medical professionals and caregivers, to ensure continuity of care and holistic treatment approaches.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in the field of physical therapy through regular participation in workshops, research, and professional networking activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Cottage Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily comprising adults recovering from conditions such as orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and age-related impairments. Our focus on individualized care means you will design specific treatment regimes suited to each patient’s unique needs, enhancing their ability to perform daily activities independently.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and documentation systems.
  • A readiness to be flexible and adapt to varied patient needs and work environments.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in home care therapy or outpatient settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with assistive device usage and training would be a plus.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply; mentorship is available to support your transition into practice.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes a sign-on bonus, flexible scheduling, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with discretionary employer match, and paid time off. In addition, we provide health and wellness incentives, continuing education credits for professional development, and direct deposit for weekly pay.
