About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing construction organization in Northern Indiana, is seeking a licensed Architect to lead commercial building design projects from concept through completion.

This is a hands-on role offering full project ownership, client interaction, and field involvement. Youll work on impactful commercial projects and collaborate directly with construction leadership to deliver innovative, compliant, and functional designs.

If you enjoy balancing creativity with execution - and want to see your designs come to life - this is a strong long-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural projects from concept through construction completion

  • Meet with clients and stakeholders to translate vision into actionable plans

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

  • Prepare construction-ready plans, specifications, and documentation

  • Ensure all designs meet local and state building codes and regulations

  • Identify and resolve design challenges proactively

  • Oversee project drawings, studies, and preliminary budgets

  • Support bidding and project planning activities

  • Visit active job sites to ensure adherence to architectural plans

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field

  • Active state architectural licensure

  • Minimum 3+ years of AutoCAD experience; Revit proficiency required

  • Strong commercial construction knowledge

  • Deep understanding of building products, construction details, and regulatory standards

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Valid drivers license

Whats in It for You
  • Competitive compensation package with strong earning potential

  • Stable, reputable organization with consistent project pipeline

  • Direct exposure to commercial construction leadership

  • Opportunity to manage projects from start to finish

  • Visible impact on high-value commercial builds

  • Long-term growth potential within a respected regional firm

  • Collaborative, team-oriented environment

This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who wants autonomy, responsibility, and the ability to directly influence commercial construction outcomes.
