Position Overview

Core Care Psychological Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide critical mental health support to clients and families, enhancing emotional well-being and personal development within the community of Sacramento, California.

About the Organization

Core Care Psychological Services is committed to providing accessible, high-quality mental health care to individuals and families, particularly those with limited access to such resources. Our organization is grounded in the values of compassion, respect, and professionalism, ensuring that every client receives tailored care aimed at addressing their unique challenges. As part of a community health clinic, our professionals collaborate to ensure comprehensive support and treatment plans that cater to the diverse needs of our clientele.

Work Environment

This remote role allows counselors to maintain a work-life balance while making a significant impact on clients' lives from the comfort of their homes. Utilizing technology efficiently, our counselors work within a supportive virtual environment that fosters collaboration and continuous learning. We emphasize a culture of teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among all staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans that meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy—to groups, families, couples, and individual clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care and ensure continuity of services for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPCC with Core Care Psychological Services, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges—such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma. By focusing on these groups, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to individuals who may otherwise face barriers to accessing mental health services.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical setting.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with a wide variety of clients.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and availability of caseload. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes access to health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as malpractice insurance. To support a manageable workload, our counselors receive assistance with billing and documentation, allowing them to focus more on client care.
