Description

The Coos County Human Resources Department is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist II to join our two-person HR team.

If you enjoy variety, solving problems, working directly with people, and being involved in more than one area of HR, this may be the opportunity you're looking for.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

  • Has solid professional HR experience and can work independently.
  • Is comfortable moving between complex HR matters and everyday administrative tasks.
  • Enjoys helping employees, supervisors, and department leaders find solutions.
  • Can manage competing priorities without losing track of the details.
  • Is comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Values teamwork and understands that in a small office, everyone pitches in.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires at least three years of progressively responsible professional human resources experience, preferably including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, leave administration, and employment law compliance. Public sector human resources experience is preferred.

A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred, or any satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

A current SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent nationally recognized human resources certification is required.
