A respected commercial HVAC, building automation, and energy solutions firm is seeking an experienced Controls Building Intelligence Specialist to support their operations in the Colorado Springs region. This senior-level position is ideal for a BAS expert with deep hands-on experience programming and commissioning Niagara systems, integrating older control platforms, and guiding junior field technicians. The role includes a company vehicle, excellent benefits, and strong long-term career stability with a highly regarded employer.

  • Title: BAS Controls Tech III (Building Intelligence Specialist)
  • Location: Colorado Springs, CO (territory spanning Larkspur to Pueblo)
  • Pay: $50.00 - $65.00/hr
  • Bonus: Not applicable
  • Experience: 8+ years, Niagara Certification required
  • Company Vehicle: Provided

Responsibilities:
  • Program, test, and commission BAS systems according to specifications.
  • Lead integration of legacy control systems into modern BAS platforms.
  • Troubleshoot controller, network, and integration-level issues.
  • Calibrate sensors, actuators, and other system components.
  • Oversee BAS project execution to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with installers, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Utilize building analytics to enhance system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Provide training, leadership, and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Perform advanced programming and integration using Tridium Niagara.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Seasoned BAS professional with 8+ years in programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Niagara Certified with proven, hands-on Niagara experience.
  • Strong background integrating legacy systems and applying building analytics.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
