Job description

Control Risks is hiring a Due Diligence Analyst to support a major global technology client. The Due Diligence Analyst will support the client's Global Security, Compliance, and Risk Management functions through the delivery of high-quality due diligence and investigative research. The successful candidate will independently execute complex due diligence projects, assess financial, legal, regulatory, reputational, and integrity risks, and provide clear, actionable analysis to support risk-based decision-making.

This individual will leverage open-source intelligence (OSINT), proprietary databases, public records, media research, and investigative methodologies to evaluate third parties, vendors, business partners, acquisition targets, and individuals across multiple jurisdictions. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing insight into emerging risks, escalation recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Conduct enhanced due diligence investigations on third parties, vendors, suppliers, executives, beneficial owners, acquisition targets, and other subjects using open-source research, commercial databases, corporate records, sanctions data, litigation records, and media sources.
  • Analyze research findings to identify financial crime, corruption, sanctions, regulatory, legal, reputational, integrity, and compliance-related risks.
  • Evaluate complex information from multiple jurisdictions and sources to determine risk exposure and produce balanced, evidence-based assessments.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable due diligence reports, executive summaries, red flag assessments, and risk briefings for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Assess adverse information and recommend escalation pathways, mitigation measures, or additional investigative actions where appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of global political, regulatory, legal, financial, and security developments that may impact third-party risk assessments.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including Security, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Ethics and Investigations teams to support risk-based decision making and vendor onboarding processes.
  • Track, prioritize, and manage multiple due diligence projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to service-level agreements and quality standards.
  • Develop search strategies, investigative approaches, and analytical methodologies to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of due diligence outcomes.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of research products and provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, reporting metrics, workflow optimization efforts, and program maturity activities.
  • Support ongoing risk monitoring efforts and provide proactive notification of material developments affecting existing vendors, business partners, or monitored entities.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of due diligence frameworks, escalation procedures, and reporting standards.
