Job description

Overview
The primary purpose of the OTW Attendant position is to perform assembly of various parts into finished parts for the customer. This can include lids, trollys, and mechanical part assembly.
Responsibilities
  • Meets regular and reliable work-site attendance requirements in order to perform the job and meet productivity standards.
  • Reading and interpreting product drawings, Control Plans, and Shop Orders as necessary to complete production.
  • Completes production paperwork.
  • Performance of equipment setup.
  • Orders raw components through computer system.
  • Making, issuing and closing of shop orders in computer system.
  • Performance of in-process inspections as required.
  • Notifies Cutting Lead of any non-conformance.
  • Cleaning of the manufacturing work area as necessary or as required by maintenance work order.
  • Packaging of product to specifications.
  • Participates in periodic training programs regarding safety, product specifications; quality; and operation.
  • Participates and works within ISO 9001-2015 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec's quality goals.
  • Others may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Work Environment
Worked performed by the OTW Operator is done in an air- conditioned environment. All individuals must wear safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hairnets, beardnets, and nitrile gloves which are all provided by Contec. Personal body products that must not be worn in this cell is jewelry of any kind.

Employee must frequently be able to remain in a stationary position. Employee must be able to move, traverse. Employees will move around the room to different work stations. The Employee must be able to position self (to), move. The employee must constantly transport and/or move up to 30 pounds and push/pull/lift up to 40 pounds. Employees must be able to constantly bend at the waist in a repetitive motion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
