Role Description

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent is a full-time role in Tampa, FL with daily job site travel. It supervises foremen and field crews across active roof system installations, conducts daily safety audits, corrects unsafe conditions to company and OSHA standards, and holds installation quality to specifications, details, and manufacturer requirements. The Superintendent trains field staff in safety, technique, and productivity, gives ongoing performance feedback, conducts reviews, and recommends raises and promotions. It tracks labor hours and production against goals, schedules materials, equipment, and deliveries while prioritizing inventoried stock and anticipating shortages, coordinates subcontractors on trades outside our scope, and manages pre-job inspections, crew assignments, daily reports, incident documentation, and change orders. The role keeps customers informed through scheduled progress check-ins and a final walk-through, and participates in manufacturer final inspections. Because ConstructoMax does not subcontract installation, every crew on our projects is our own.

Qualifications

Commercial construction experience is required and candidates without it will not be considered.

•    Five or more years as a commercial roofing superintendent, or equivalent foreman-level experience in commercial roofing.

•    Working knowledge of manufacturer requirements, materials, tools, and equipment across TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, built-up, and metal systems.

•    Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.

•    Demonstrated leadership, including setting expectations, delegating, and holding crews accountable.

•    Microsoft Office proficiency and the ability to write clear routine reports and correspondence.

•    Valid driver's license with an insurable record.

•    Essential functions include climbing, walking roofs, lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in Florida weather, and working extended hours when a project requires it, with or without reasonable accommodation.

•    Conversational Spanish is useful in this role.
