Job description

Construction Partners Inc., a publicly traded highway infrastructure company, is currently searching for an Application Administrator to join the IT team in Dothan, AL. Application Administrators are responsible for providing application-level support and assistance for all end users as well as configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining applications. This position is also responsible for resolving issues promptly and keeping the users informed on the status of their open cases. End-user support will be provided by leveraging PC remote control software, telephone, video conferencing, email, etc. The Applications team will work closely with all the other IT departments to resolve any IT issue.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide application support for end-users
  • Troubleshoot and promptly resolve user and application issues
  • Install and configure vendor supported applications
  • Maintain and update vendor supported applications
  • Thoroughly document application issues and resolutions
  • Thoroughly document data flows to and from applications
  • Assist with gathering requested data for audit purposes
  • Assist other teams and colleagues with various tasks as requested

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong computer, analytical, and people skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills relating to computers and applications
  • Experience with and strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems; both server and workstation
  • Microsoft SQL experience preferred
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and concepts

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience acceptable
  • Certifications are a plus, but equivalent and relevant education, experience, and training are acceptable
  • Experience in project management
  • Some travel required
  • In person/office position
