Expected salary range of $211,500 to $235,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Location
This position offers remote flexibility. Our ideal candidate will be based near our corporate office locations in Baltimore, MD; Chicago, IL; Houston, TX or Kennett Square, PA.
Travel to meet with team members, organizational partners, & customers is required; with 25% travel anticipated annually.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Executive Director is responsible for commercialization and driving annual sales for the Constellation Energy Solutions (Energy Conservation projects, Behind the Meter Storage, Backup Generation, Baseload Generation) in collaboration with technical and relationship managers in the Constellation's commercial business. This position will be dedicated to the full lifecycle of sales - from market analysis to customer analysis to prioritizing and executing upon opportunities. The successful candidate will identify and unlock opportunities to increase the value we bring to customers resulting in a differentiated experience and greater long-term value for Constellation. The position will require extensive organization engagement. The key organization interfaces will include Constellation's Energy Solutions Engineering team, technical sales team, Retail Sales team, CTV, Association, Marketing and other parts of Constellation where services may resonate with customers.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
  • Responsible for understanding the market trends and needs for customers and prioritize the needs and where we can participate
  • Drive annual sales results for Constellation Energy solutions to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Establish and maintain a viable sales pipeline of qualified opportunities in the federal, MUSH and commercial & industrial segments to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Commercialize the new Constellation Energy Solutions offerings working with the products team.
  • Directly manage a team focused on selling Constellation Energy solutions to meet the need of the customers across multiple segments.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 12-years relevant experience, in lieu of degree 16 years of relevant experience
  • Strong marketing, and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills; capable of presenting externally and internally
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence all levels of management
  • Demonstrated understanding of the company's commercial energy business units, personnel, and strategy
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work effectively under high stress situations in dynamic, fast paced environments
  • Demonstrated experience in entrepreneurship, startup, or technology environments
  • Demonstrated drive and sense of urgency to achieve results and ability to deliver outcomes despite obstacles

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building systems, energy infrastructure solutions, building energy efficiency, and energy conservation measures, highly preferred
  • Sales leadership experience
  • Experience selling within MUSH, Federal government, healthcare, higher education & commercial & industrial markets, highly preferred
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Thorough understanding of the technical, financial and contractual aspects of the ESCO business
  • Experience developing new channels for distribution of technology products and services
