Job Description
SUMMARY:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer with a sense of ownership and drive to use their creative skillset to further the company's brand. You love to tell visual stories which represent the company's culture and work. You thrive in a fast-paced, in-person work environment with industry leading experts. The position will be based out of DBI Headquarters in Herald Square, NYC, with a starting salary range of $70,000 - 90,000 plus semi-annual bonus potential and benefits package.
The Graphic Designer will create proprietary designs, promote the DBI brand internally and externally, as well as communicate key ideas through visuals, formatted reports, and presentations. This position will be expected to present original ideas and designs independently, exercising discretion, have a keen eye for detail, as well as communicate work status and concepts. The ideal candidate will successfully create imaginative designs, work within the overall brand requirements, and create impressive designs that promote the company's culture and vision.
The DBI team specializes in the evaluation of damaged structures. DBI's construction experts provide independent recommendations and analysis to clients in the insurance and legal industry. Hard evidence, expertise, and accuracy drive work; communication and connection are the company's top priorities. In a complex industry, the company's mission is to bring clarity to every client served by DBI.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to launch projects.
  • Produce graphic elements, presentations, formatted reports, internal documents, and marketing materials.
  • Understand project requirements and concepts including visual elements (layout, type and fonts).
  • Communicate with creative and project teams and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conceptualize and execute materials that meet company standards.
  • Pitch creative ideas to the Creative Director. Create drafts and models for review.
  • Use the best design methods, applications, software and techniques to work on assigned projects.
  • Fulfill ongoing creative needs of the organization, including brand identity and visual standards.
  • Produce final design solutions.
  • Uphold the values of DBI Consultants and the culture espoused by Our Foundation.
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism, integrity and the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct; conducts oneself in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in any disclosure of information related to DBI Consultants and its endeavors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or other related areas of academic study is required.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in Creative, Brand Marketing, or Graphic Design.
  • Experience with design software and graphics editing tools (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe XD is preferred.
  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts).
  • Ability to tell a visual story to the executive team.
  • Strong creative thinker with a sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Possess a good portfolio of past design and creative projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates passion to learn and continuously improve.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted primarily in an indoor office environment with protection from weather conditions and with exposure to noise typical of an office or administrative setting.
