Looking for a flexible, hands on campus job that fits around your classes and helps students every day? The Campus Connection / CPU Specialist position is a great opportunity for students who enjoy helping others, staying organized, and working behind the scenes to keep campus services running smoothly.
This role supports essential student services such as ID card production, signage distribution, lost and found management, and bus pass troubleshooting. Employees may also assist with Box Office and event operations, offering variety and opportunities for additional hours.
No prior experience is required - training is provided, and we're looking for reliable students with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Summary of Responsibilities
Campus Connection / CPU Services (Primary Focus)
- Create and issue student, faculty, and staff ID cards accurately and efficiently
- Apply expiry stickers to a variety of signage
- Place, maintain, and remove signage across campus
- Collect, log, organize, and properly store lost and found items
- Assist students with basic troubleshooting and questions related to bus passes and campus access
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service to students, staff, and visitors
- Occasionally transport materials or signage across campus as part of daily tasks
Box Office & Event Support (Secondary)
- Sell tickets and process transactions at the Box Office while providing positive customer service
- Scan tickets and assist with event entry
- Serve as an usher during events by welcoming guests, helping them find seats, and answering questions
- Support front-of-house event operations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional setup, takedown, and shift coverage
Hours & Scheduling
- Guaranteed 10-15 hours per week, providing consistent and dependable pay throughout the semester
- Opportunity to work up to 26 hours per week by picking up additional Box Office shifts and other open shifts
- A semester-based work schedule is created in advance around classes and other commitments, as much as possible
- Regular shifts are currently available on morning and afternoon shifts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Friday morning shifts also open
- Schedules offer flexibility and may be adjusted as needed to support campus services, Front of House hours, and coverage needs
- Some shifts may include mornings, evenings, and weekends, depending on campus and event schedules
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Must be a current student in good standing
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Reliable, organized, and customer service oriented
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
