Work Environment

As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while working within our outpatient office framework. Regular office hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, allow you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents, facilitating the identification of specific needs and care requirements.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions that address emotional challenges linked to life transitions and aging.
  • Collaborate intently with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to geriatric patients.
  • Educate patients' families and staff on effective strategies to promote emotional well-being and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
  • Deliver grief and loss counseling to residents and their families, equipping them with tools to navigate end-of-life issues compassionately.
  • Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs, along with various mental health interventions, to foster mental acuity among elderly individuals.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, offering support to older adults facing an array of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, cognitive decline, and grief. Expect to work closely with individuals navigating significant life changes or transitions, ensuring they receive holistic care that comprehensively addresses their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience focused on geriatric counseling and mental health services.
  • Advanced training in geriatric mental health and related challenges is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough assessments and creating tailored treatment plans for elderly clients.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of relating to elderly clients with dignity and respect.
  • Empathy and cultural awareness to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  • Understanding of ethical and legal standards concerning geriatric mental health practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 105,000, complemented by a signing bonus to welcome you to our team.
