Location: Toronto, Beaver Creek


In this position, you'll be based in the Toronto (East Beaver Creek) office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Quadient Inspire Developer to join our Computershare Communication Services team. 

A role you will love 

You'll be a part of our dynamic CCS team which provides integrated customer communication solutions worldwide. In this role, you will develop and support our systems that ensure the business meets the needs of its clients, internally and externally, by following the prescribed standards as determined by the different technical groups, as well as using technical frameworks, both existing and emerging.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining customer communication management (CCM) solutions that will interact with various systems for print and electronic communications
  • Performing unit testing and assisting Testing teams with system testing
  • Investigating technical issues when required, using the help of senior and experienced team members if needed
  • Assisting in the preparation of documentation where necessary for new or changed business, operational, or support procedures
  • Recording and updating assigned tasks using a work tracking tool and provide status reports on outstanding issues
  • Providing on-call support as needed for problems which occur out of working hours including support to other CTS locations
     

What will you bring to the role?

To be successful in this role, you have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You are also someone who is team oriented and results oriented. You are a creative thinker, a problem solver and a quick learner.

You'll also bring:

  • 3 + years' experience with document composition engines, like Quadient Inspire
  • Experienced in reviewing business requirements & technical specifications to determine necessary changes needed to satisfy the requirements
  • Analytical thinking involving analysis of solution constructs and proper methods of validation and reconciliation
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with any of the following languages: Perl, XML, JSON, SQL, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, Groovy
  • Experience working within in-house built tools and the ability to adapt to learning the ins and outs of these types of tools
  • Knowledgeable with various version control tools, such as Git, TFS, ADO
  • Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
