Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients, building rapport and establishing trusting therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to assess progress, discuss treatment goals, and determine the appropriateness of continued therapy or discharge.
  • Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Perform comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of new clients.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions weekly, employing evidence-based practices tailored to the client population.
  • Engage in regular individual supervision to reinforce clinical skills and professional development.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and support staff, to enhance client care.
  • Embrace a growth mindset to continually improve practices and interventions in therapeutic techniques and approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus at Saint Mary’s Counseling Center is on youth mental health, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in mental health, counseling, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is required.

  • Minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance use populations.
  • Competency in assessment and diagnostic practices, with experience in delivering both individual and group therapy.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with a youth demographic across varying socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits
