Job Title: Medical Assistant (Integrative / Functional Medicine Practice)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, and coachable Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-moving environment while maintaining a calm and centered presence. This role blends clinical and administrative responsibilities and is ideal for someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and passionate about whole-person care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, intake, and medication administration (as directed)
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EHR systems
• Assist providers during procedures and clinical workflows
• Support patient flow, scheduling, and coordination of care
• Perform administrative tasks including chart prep, follow-ups, and basic coding support
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver a high-quality, cohesive patient experience
• Respond to urgent situations appropriately, including BLS if needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a clinical setting (primary care, urgent care, or similar preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of EHR systems
• BLS certification (required)
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Experience with ICD coding (preferred but not required)
• Interest in or experience with functional/integrative medicine (highly preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay organized and grounded in a fast-paced environment
