Commercial Cleaning Job Responsibilities

As a Commercial Cleaning Technician, you will help maintain clean, sanitary, and professional work environments by performing duties that include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing office buildings, conference rooms, reception areas, and common spaces
• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and employee break rooms
• Vacuuming carpets, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining hard floor surfaces
• Dusting desks, furniture, windowsills, fixtures, and office equipment
• Cleaning interior glass, mirrors, doors, and entryways
• Emptying trash and recycling containers and replacing liners
• Restocking restroom and kitchen supplies
• Operating commercial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Following company cleaning procedures and OSHA safety guidelines
• Reporting maintenance issues and completing quality inspections before leaving each facility

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, custodial work, office cleaning, housekeeping, hotel cleaning, environmental services (EVS), or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned work locations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, walking, standing, reaching, and repetitive motion
• Ability to work evenings, nights, or flexible schedules if required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Background check may be required
