As Culinary Services Supervisor, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors by delivering exceptional dining experiences, fostering meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role:

As the Culinary Services Supervisor, you provide operational leadership and support to the Director of Culinary Services and serve as second in charge during the Director’s absence. You supervise dining room operations and wait staff while maintaining a high-quality, positive, and safe physical and social dining environment for residents and guests.

Position Highlights:

  • Status: FULL TIME
  • Schedule: INCLUDING SOME WEEKENDS
  • Location: 5999 N. University Dr. Parkland FL 33067
  • Rate of Pay: Starting at $45,000 a year plus bonus

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Director of Culinary Services by overseeing daily dining room operations and serving as acting lead in the Director’s absence.
  • Maintain warm, professional, and hospitable interactions with residents, families, guests, and team members while operating within budget guidelines.
  • Promote resident engagement by interacting with residents during meal periods to monitor satisfaction and address service concerns.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and service quality across dining rooms and wait stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, health, and uniform standards for all dining services team members.
  • Remain current on industry trends and best practices through industry publications and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to food service operations.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional appearance, ethics, and conduct for self and team members.
  • Communicate effectively across departments and with corporate partners to support smooth operations.
  • Conduct and participate in departmental meetings to support communication, training, and engagement.
  • Foster positive employee relations through coaching, recognition, and corporate incentive programs.
  • Monitor food quality for presentation and portion accuracy; communicate feedback and needed adjustments to kitchen staff.
  • Evaluate table service for timing, etiquette, and thoroughness; provide hospitality training and corrective guidance as needed.
  • Supervise dining venues and surrounding areas to ensure appropriate flow, organization, and supply placement.
  • Monitor and adjust resident accounts to ensure meal and charge accuracy.
  • Develop staff schedules and assign daily tasks including table assignments, side work, and closing duties.
  • Direct and monitor wait staff performance including customer service standards, uniform appearance, and food handling practices.
  • Train wait staff on operating procedures, service standards, and menu knowledge.
  • Ensure floor charts and table layouts are accurate and properly maintained.
  • Assist servers with table service as needed to support efficient operations.
  • Record and track daily sales transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision to wait staff and other assigned team members to ensure consistently high-quality service delivery.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fine dining or high-end food service.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and daily operational oversight.
  • Current State and/or Federal Food Handling and Sanitation certification required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced dining environment while maintaining service excellence and compliance standards.
