Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and unique needs, ensuring a personalized approach to treatment.
• Create, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based modalities.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing recognized therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout therapy sessions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans that enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure holistic care for clients and coordinate treatment strategies.
• Advocate for your clients, helping them access vital mental health services and community resources necessary for their recovery.
• Adhere to the highest ethical standards and confidentiality protocols as defined by licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Comp Health, you will primarily work with clients facing mood disorders, relationship challenges, and other emotional difficulties. Your role is crucial in addressing the complexities of their lives, fostering supportive therapeutic relationships that encourage healing and growth. By leveraging your expertise, you will guide clients in navigating their interpersonal dynamics and enhancing their communication skills.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited academic institution.
• Current and valid LMFT licensure in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based treatment modalities effectively, particularly in addressing mood disorders.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of post-licensure experience specializing in working with clients who experience mood disorders and emotional issues.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology, enabling collaboration with psychiatrists and understanding medication management.
• A proven track record of delivering successful therapeutic outcomes for clients.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and based on your caseload.
