The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, monitoring patient progress, documenting treatment sessions accurately, and communicating patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist. The PTA assists patients with improving mobility, strength, balance, pain management, and functional independence while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with clinic policies, payer requirements, and professional standards. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills are essential.
