Position Overview
The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) will provide outpatient therapy services under supervision, in accordance with New York State scope-of-practice requirements. This is an
entry-level therapist role ideal for a motivated LMSW building clinical experience and working toward LCSW licensure.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and experienced therapists while developing your clinical skills in a structured setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services (Under Supervision)
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and intake evaluations
- Provide individual therapy sessions under supervision
- Participate in treatment planning with supervising clinicians
- Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches
- Participate in case conferences and clinical team meetings
Care Coordination & Patient Support
- Coordinate care with families, schools, and providers
- Provide referrals to community resources when appropriate
- Support patients navigating mental health services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical team
Documentation & Professional Development
- Complete timely clinical documentation in the EHR
- Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Participate in structured clinical supervision
- Integrate feedback into clinical practice
- Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time outpatient role
- Hybrid flexibility based on operational needs
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
- Collaborative team-based clinical environment
- Administrative support provided
Compensation
Fee-for-service compensation
$40-$60 per session (experience dependent)
Earnings will vary based on caseload and scheduling.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- New York LMSW license or eligibility to obtain
- Internship or practicum experience in behavioral health preferred
- Strong interest in building a long-term clinical career
- Comfortable working with children, adolescents, and adults
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
