Job description

As a Special Accounts Representative, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our members and internal teams in managing specialized and sensitive accounts. These accounts include fiduciary, estate, power of attorney, trust accounts, and business accounts. Drawing on your empathy, accuracy, and expertise, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for complex accounts, ensuring proper documentation, and providing expert guidance to both members and employees. Key Responsibilities
  • Deceased member accounts: research, process, and maintain accounts for deceased members, and serve as primary contact for inquiries and service requests
  • Special accounts support: provide specialized support to teams managing fiduciary, estate, power of attorney, and trust accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including business and complex accounts
  • Documentation and process management: review and verify new account documentation for accuracy and completeness, focusing on fiduciary, trust, and business accounts
  • Manage the notary program, providing support and training for new and existing employees to ensure accurate and compliant notarization processes
  • Compliance and risk mitigation: stay current with laws and regulations pertaining to fiduciary, estate, trust, and deceased member accounts. Ensure that all account management activities comply with state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies

We are looking for:
  • Three+ years of experience in administering deceased accounts, estates, power of attorney, fiduciary accounts, or similar roles within a financial institution or legal environment
  • Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and process legal and financial documents related to deceased and special accounts
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex account issues using sound judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with credit union operations, fiduciary responsibilities, and estate management preferred
  • Expertise in handling sensitive member information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools used for account management and documentation review; general proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
