Join an established industrial equipment manufacturer seeking a hands-on Industrial Controls Specialist to bridge the gap between Engineering and Field Service. In this role, you'll troubleshoot complex automation systems, support customers and technicians, drive product improvements, and help improve the reliability and performance of advanced industrial equipment used worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical support for industrial equipment involving mechanical, electrical, controls, and software systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, networking, I/O, and automation systems both remotely and on-site.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, repairs, and system upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term corrective solutions for field issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve machine reliability, performance, and serviceability.
• Evaluate and implement hardware and software upgrades for customers.
• Develop troubleshooting guides, service documentation, and technical training materials.
• Train field technicians and customers on equipment operation and best practices.
• Monitor service performance metrics and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Service teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel approximately 25% for customer support and commissioning activities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation) preferred. Equivalent technical education and experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of experience supporting industrial automation, OEM equipment, field service, controls engineering, or machine commissioning.
• Strong experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk, RSLogix).
• Experience troubleshooting industrial automation systems, electrical controls, and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial networking, I/O diagnostics, and system integration.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently while managing multiple technical priorities.
