Description

Commonwealth Staffing is assisting a client of ours in their search for a Staff Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be mentored by a couple of CPAs and to work by a for an establish company in Virginia Beach. This position is newly created due to growth and offers a competitive salary and benefits for the role. 

Responsibilities
  • Performs bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Records accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
  • Makes journal entries and assists Controller with various reconciliations
  • Assists Controller with special projects
  • Effectively create and utilize system reports from the company's accounting software
  • Respond to financial inquiries and requests from company managers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience using accounting software (Yardi, MRI, Sage, etc.)
  • Intermediate or above Excel user
  • Must have a positive attitude, be detail oriented, and be a team player
  • Someone who can work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively.
