Job description

Position Summary:

RDC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join our Store Planning team. This role requires a talented professional who can e ectively oversee multiple accounts, lead design initiatives, and contribute to sta development. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality control, a strong ability to manage internal workload, budgets and schedules, and excellent external client and consultant relations skills. This individual will play a pivotal role in project success by coordinating tasks, ensuring deliverables, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Project Management Responsibilities:

โ€ข Manage multiple accounts concurrently, balancing project priorities and timelines

โ€ข Initiate and monitor project budgets, schedules, and milestones, making adjustments as needed to ensure project success

โ€ข Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress and address potential challenges

โ€ข Understand and implement company standards and procedures

โ€ข Identify project needs and engage relevant external consultants to enhance project success

โ€ข Manage relationships with any internal and external consultant teams, ensuring effective collaboration and timely deliverables

โ€ข Project billing and invoices management

โ€ข Collaborate and partner with project architect to ensure a successful design team

Client Relations Responsibilities:

โ€ข Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and understanding of client needs.

โ€ข Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.

โ€ข Host and attend client meetings; including some travel as needed.

โ€ข Actively seek and secure new business opportunities through existing clients, and via industry networking.

โ€ข Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue potential projects

Team Management Responsibilities:

โ€ข Oversee the professional development of junior sta members by providing mentorship and guidance

โ€ข Assign tasks to junior sta based on their skills and project requirements

โ€ข Regularly follow up on task progress, providing support and guidance as needed to meet project deadlines

โ€ข Recommend and/or provide training to direct reports. Identify opportunities for professional development

โ€ข Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and growth

โ€ข Provide insightful and enthusiastic leadership. Create a positive attitude and build supportive morale

โ€ข Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports

Qualifications Include:

โ€ข Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field

โ€ข Proven experience in project management and retail architectural design

โ€ข Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

โ€ข Strong organizational and time-management abilities

โ€ข Proficient in relevant design and project management software

โ€ข A proven track record in client relationship management and business development

โ€ข Advanced knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards

โ€ข Advanced knowledge of building codes; ability to successfully complete the permitting process

โ€ข Advanced understanding of Construction Administration procedures
