Position Summary:

The Director of Quality & Business Systems is responsible for maintaining and improving ComNav's Quality Management System while overseeing quality assurance, customer and supplier quality, regulatory compliance, and business systems.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role within a small defense manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is an independent, technically minded problem-solver who can translate customer, regulatory, and operational requirements into practical processes and work across engineering, production, purchasing, sales, suppliers, and customers to implement them.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and corrective action methodologies.
• Experience with inspection, metrology, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience conducting internal audits.
• Ability to interpret customer and contractual requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel or comparable data-analysis capability.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in aerospace, defense, RF/electronics, or other regulated manufacturing.
• AS9102 experience.
• Supplier quality experience.
• ERP administration experience.
• Experience with RoHS, REACH, PFAS, CMRT/EMRT, or similar compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with ITAR and/or CMMC requirements.
