Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector (QC Inspector) to join our Richland, WA team. Working collaboratively within the quality team and following established procedures and project requirements, the QC Inspector plays a key role in upholding product quality and regulatory compliance throughout our fabrication and manufacturing processes. This position supports internal teams and customers to ensure work meets technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
This role is open to intermediate and experienced candidates who are committed to personal growth and professional excellence in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Inspection & Quality Execution
- Inspect materials and fabricated components for conformance to specifications using a variety of measuring tools and techniques.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on parts and assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with customer quality plans, applicable codes, and contract specifications.
- Monitor, witness, and/or verify testing processes, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
- Execute visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections in accordance with approved documentation.
- Experience with advanced inspection tools (e.g., FARO Arm, CMM, Micro-Vu).
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation in accordance with project and procedural requirements.
- Report nonconformities and support resolution efforts through communication with engineers and shop supervisors.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and receipt inspections.
- Support internal training efforts related to quality standards and procedures.
Safety & Work Environment
- Promote and follow all company safety policies and practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate across departments to support a shared culture of quality and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T call-outs.
- Proficient with standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
- Must pass background check, employment verification, and drug screening.
- Due to government contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working under NQA-1 and/or ISO 9001 quality programs.
- Familiarity with UL 508A or UL 698A panel inspections.
- Experience performing or witnessing B31.1 or B31.3 hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions
This position is performed in a fabrication shop setting. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven with a focus on safety, quality, and precision. Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected to ensure successful project outcomes.
