Our mission is to strengthen domestic pharmaceutical supply, enhance patient access to affordable, life-saving medications, and uphold the values of integrity, innovation, and scientific excellence in everything we do.

What You’ll Do

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the reliable operation of all facility and process utility systems essential to cGMP manufacturing. This role ensures continuous performance, compliance, and efficiency of clean and black utilities, providing technical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and operational support in a highly regulated sterile production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, inspect, and maintain critical utility systems including WFI, Purified Water (PW), Clean Steam, PVAC, Process Air, Nitrogen, Boilers, Chillers, and Air Compressors.
• Perform routine monitoring, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of clean and black utility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Respond promptly to utility alarms, equipment issues, and system deviations; perform corrective maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities in accordance with cGMP, FDA, and company standards.
• Support the operation and monitoring of Building Management and Environmental Monitoring Systems (BMS/EMAS).
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control system components including pumps, valves, and VFDs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Production, and Quality teams to support manufacturing readiness and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to support maintenance activities and system understanding.
• Support validation, commissioning, and change control for new or modified utility systems.
• Oversee external contractors and vendors to ensure safety and quality standards are met during maintenance or project work.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DEP, EHS, and internal safety standards while promoting a clean, safe, and inspection-ready work environment.
• Recommend and support continuous improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment reliability, and utility performance.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in utility system operations, facility maintenance, or mechanical systems within a GMP, pharmaceutical, or industrial setting.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade certification, or vocational school experience preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong technical understanding of clean and black utility systems (WFI, PW, steam, nitrogen, compressed air, HVAC).
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting of process and facility systems.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electricity, piping systems, and control/automation fundamentals (PLCs, VFDs).
• Ability to interpret utility-related blueprints, schematics, and SOPs.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Blue Mountain, Maximo, or SAP PM.
• Comprehensive understanding of cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and EHS regulations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

What We Offer

• Competitive compensation with annual performance bonus eligibility
• Annual merit-based pay increases
• Automatic enrollment in a 401(k) at 3% pre-tax with 50% company match on the first 6% contributed
• Paid Time Off

• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
• Professional development reimbursement
• Career growth opportunities
