Are you passionate about helping children build the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond? Collaborative Therapies is looking for a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Poinciana, Florida.

As part of our collaborative therapy team, you'll work alongside licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to help students develop the functional skills they need to participate confidently in the classroom and everyday school activities.

What You'll Do

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve students' fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, handwriting, self-care, and functional skills.
  • Help students increase independence and participation in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Document therapy sessions and monitor student progress.
  • Assist with adaptive equipment, classroom accommodations, and sensory supports as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and professional standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Florida COTA license
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for supporting students in an educational setting

Preferred

  • School-based or pediatric experience
  • Experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, or other disabilities
  • Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy services
