Work Environment

This position is purely onsite, allowing therapists to engage directly within clients’ home settings. Our therapies are provided in various environments tailored to each client's specific rehabilitation needs, promoting maximum independence and comfort. As part of our collaborative home care team, you will have the chance to interact with clients in their familiar surroundings, significantly contributing to their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, improving muscle function, and fostering independence in activities of daily living, in accordance with established care plans.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to treatment protocols and continuity of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities, utilizing diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capacities.
• Assess clients’ home environments and provide recommendations that support rehabilitation and enhance their independence.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services, including manual exercise therapy and the application of physical modalities such as traction and massage.
• Monitor, record, and report on clients’ progress, modifying treatment plans in consultation with healthcare teams based on their evolving needs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including detailed evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with OASIS and other regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights for holistic client care and treatment adjustments.
• Educate and support clients and their families regarding the use of therapy equipment and overall health management.
• Engage in ongoing assessment and adjustment of care plans in response to client progress and feedback.
• Maintain timely documentation and reporting in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to support the overall organizational mission.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum one year of professional experience as a physical therapist, preferably in home health or acute care settings.
• Must possess a current physical therapy license in good standing within the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Demonstrated commitment to high standards of clinical excellence and integrity.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage constructively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a home healthcare setting is desirable.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is a plus.
• Prior supervisory experience or mentorship roles of support staff, such as Physical Therapy Assistants, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Recoverease Therapy Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
