HOMEMAKER

Cold Lake First Nations - Integrated Services

Location: Cold Lake First Nation
Position: Permanent Full-Time
Wage: $20.00/hour

Cold Lake First Nations is seeking dependable and compassionate Homemakers to provide in-home support to community members. This role helps clients maintain a safe and comfortable home environment while supporting their ability to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide light housekeeping, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, and cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms
  • Assist with light meal preparation, particularly for Elders when required
  • Complete seasonal and other household cleaning as assigned
  • Monitor and report concerns within the home, including food spoilage or situations requiring additional support
  • Provide respectful social interaction and companionship to clients
  • Follow confidentiality, safety and client-home protocols
  • Report concerns or unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor
  • Participate in required training and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Dependable, respectful and comfortable working independently in clients' homes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation
  • Clear criminal record check required
  • Standard First Aid/CPR and WHMIS
  • Health Care Aide Certificate is an asset but not required; training may be provided to the right candidate
  • Ability to speak Dene or Cree is considered an asset

Hours

Monday-Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
