Your expertise will help clients navigate and overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more, fostering personal growth and well-being.

About the Organization

Cogwheel Behavioral Health is a leading provider of comprehensive mental health services located in Vancouver, Washington. Our primary goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can explore their feelings and experiences. Our team of compassionate, licensed therapists employs evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each client, ensuring their journey towards healing is as effective and fulfilling as possible.

Work Environment

Working remotely offers the convenience of setting your own workspace while allowing you the comfort of connecting with clients in a confidential and secure manner. At Cogwheel Behavioral Health, we prioritize a collaborative atmosphere where your expertise is valued. Our administrative staff is on hand to support scheduling, billing, and insurance processing, letting you focus on what matters most— your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address unique client goals and challenges.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy consultations using various modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Regularly set specific therapeutic goals with clients and systematically monitor their progress towards achieving these goals.
  • Facilitate virtual therapy sessions while ensuring technology access and support for all clients.
  • Keep meticulous and up-to-date documentation to meet ethical standards and ensure continuity of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client population seeking mental health support. Clients may include adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, and relationship challenges, as well as adolescents facing emotional difficulties. As a therapist, your empathetic approach will empower clients to confront and navigate their challenges while promoting resilience and mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A current, valid state license in Washington as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust quickly with clients.
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting, coupled with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Genuine empathy and a non-judgmental attitude are essential for fostering a safe therapeutic environment.
Preferred Experience

While the primary requirement is the appropriate licensing and education, candidates with experience in teletherapy, trauma-informed care, or specific treatment modalities (e.g., EMDR, DBT) will be highly regarded. A proven track record of effectively managing a caseload and delivering quality mental health support will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000, commensurate with your caseload and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes continuing education reimbursement, administrative support for your day-to-day operations, and opportunities for professional development to further enhance your skills and career trajectory.
