Packaging Associate (Production)

Location: Codis, Seymour, IN Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM | Sunday Night through Friday Morning

Position Summary

Codis is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Associate to join our Production team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging finished products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in producing high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Package finished products by filling, capping, labeling, inspecting, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP requirements, and company policies.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and maintain packaging equipment while following established procedures and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot packaging equipment and notify appropriate personnel of equipment issues when necessary.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, including batch records and production records, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including company-provided uniforms, lab coats, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hair nets, and shoe covers.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and support departmental objectives.
  • Assist with training new employees on packaging procedures and company expectations.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, when trained and authorized.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the packaging process to ensure products meet Codis quality standards.
  • Support other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceutical, food production, or GMP experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and move throughout the shift (approximately 70 to 90% of the workday).
  • Frequently push, pull, bend, twist, turn, and grasp materials and equipment.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
