Code Ninjas Cumming Jobs Information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a STEM Instructor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a STEM Instructor, you need a strong background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, often supported by relevant degrees and teaching credentials. Familiarity with educational technology tools, coding platforms, laboratory equipment, and curriculum design software is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to inspire and engage students are vital soft skills in this role. These skills enable effective knowledge transfer, foster student interest in STEM fields, and ensure successful classroom management.

How does a STEM Instructor typically collaborate with other educators and staff to create effective learning experiences?

STEM Instructors often work closely with other teachers, curriculum coordinators, and school administrators to design interdisciplinary projects and ensure lessons align with educational standards. Collaboration may involve co-planning units, sharing resources, and integrating STEM concepts with other subjects like art or social studies. This teamwork fosters a supportive environment for experimenting with new teaching methods and helps tailor instruction to meet diverse student needs. Regular meetings and open communication are key components of successful collaboration in this role.

What are STEM instructors?

STEM instructors are educators who teach subjects related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). They may work in schools, colleges, universities, or informal learning environments like camps and after-school programs. Their role involves designing and delivering lessons, conducting experiments or hands-on activities, and fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students. STEM instructors play a vital part in preparing students for careers in rapidly evolving fields that require technical proficiency and analytical abilities.

Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Responsibilities include:
  • Training - go through the curriculum and learn it

  • Experience working with the general public
  • Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care
  • Works well with others; collaborates
  • Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic concepts
