Job description

Job Summary:

Supplier to the aerospace, aviation and defense industry is seeking an experienced Composite Technician. The person hired for this role will manufacture components from a variety of prepreg, cork, foam and aluminum materials and setup/operate ply cutting machines according to written processes. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks according to company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Existing experience with tool and mold preparation, lamination, bagging, and trimming.
  • Assist with setup and operation of other various equipment and processes.
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on machines to ensure proper operation
  • Accurately document production step on job routers for accurate traceability
  • Record raw material Lot, Batch, & Serial numbers on appropriate job routers for accurate traceability
  • Maintain out life documents for refrigerated/frozen materials where applicable
  • Assist with inspection of finished goods
  • Assist with packaging of finished goods
  • Assist with distribution processes (shipping/receiving) as required
  • General housekeeping to maintain a clean/safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or its equivalent (Required)
  • Must be proficient of basic math
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Composites (Required), preferably within an Aerospace environment. (Preferred)
  • Must demonstrate a good working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to read and understand part drawings and blueprints
  • Organized and detail oriented (Required)
  • English (Required)
  • Driver's License. Able to reliably commute to 32934 (Required)
  • Be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and be able to lift/push/pull 50+ pounds (Required)
  • Experience in aerospace, dealing with material lot/batch numbers (Preferred)
