About this RoleThe Carbon Finance Associate will sit in The Nature Conservancy’s Impact Finance and Markets Division, working within the Global Carbon Markets team to lead project finance activities for Natural Climate Solutions (NCS). This position offers a temporary two‑year term with the potential for extension based on performance and funding availability. The associate will collaborate with various stakeholders, including local business units and external actors, to enhance the quality of TNC’s NCS carbon project portfolio. Key areas of focus include supporting financial modeling, equitable benefit sharing arrangements, and coordinating impact investment opportunities. The role involves building financial models, carrying out viability assessments for NCS projects, and developing strategic frameworks for community compensation mechanisms, aligned with the organization’s mission to drive sustainable conservation initiatives globally.
