Cleanleaf Energy is seeing a VP of Accounting & Finance to join our executive team!
At Cleanleaf Energy we strive to make the energy transition a permanent reality by Operating and Maintaining solar (PV) Energy assets across the United States. We lead in clean energy operations by providing safe, dependable, and high-performing services for our customers. As part of our growth journey we are looking for a team member to head up our Accounting & finance team.
About the Position:
The Vice President, Accounting & Finance position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and accounting operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Position Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Planning
  • As part of the company leadership team, assist in formulating the company's future direction, supporting tactical initiatives and monitoring of implementation
  • Forecast all financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop financial and tax strategies
  • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Operations
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the company leadership team
  • Manage the FP&A, tax, and treasury functions
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
  • Implement operational best practices
  • Collaborate with operational team leaders to establish, track, report on and adjust to achieve key performance indicators, including drivers of cost optimization, volume growth and margin expansion
  • Oversee the issuance of financial reporting to leadership, board and investors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Coordinate external legal vendors and manage insurance providers and negotiations
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements regarding accounting & finance related matters
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors, investors and government agencies

Required Skills and Experience:
The candidate should have a degree in accounting or finance or equivalent field with relevant business experience in accounting or finance with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience and minimum 2+ years of leadership experience in similar roles. Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Prior experience with energy related businesses and/or services businesses within energy is preferred.

  • AP & AR staff
  • Accountants
  • Corporate Controller
  • There are currently 3 full-time employees on this team which will report up to to this role.

The targeted hiring pay scale for this role is $190,000 - $220,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on an assessment of factors including the successful candidate's experience, skill, and other job-related factors.
