Location: Tacoma, Puyallup, Lakewood, Washington (Hybrid / Community-based)

About the Role

Clarvida is seeking a New Journeys Supported Education & Employment (SEE) Specialist to support Medicaid clients ages 15-40 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. In this role, you will help clients identify their strengths, interests, and goals related to education and employment, and support them in building the skills needed to obtain and maintain meaningful placements.

You will work closely with clients to address barriers such as anxiety, depression, scheduling challenges, transportation, and financial limitations. This position blends advocacy, case management, and skills coaching to create real, measurable impact in clients' lives.

Responsibilities

Support clients ages 15-40 experiencing a first episode of psychosis
Identify client strengths, interests, capabilities, and employment/education goals
Assist with resume development, interview preparation, and job readiness skills
Support clients in managing anxiety, depression, anger, and other challenges related to work or school
Provide ongoing support to help clients maintain placements or overcome barriers
Advocate for clients with employers, schools, and community partners
Coordinate services and resources related to education and employment
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards

Requirements
  • One of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, or a related field with experience providing supported employment/education or similar services
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) with at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience
  • Four (4) or more years of experience providing supported employment, education, independent living assistance, or similar service
  • Eligible to become a Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor through the Washington

Department of Health

  • Valid Washington Driver's License, active auto insurance, and proof of education
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks
