Job description

We are hiring a Senior Manager of Renewal Sales to join our Intellectual Property team at Clarivate. In this role, you will be focused on accelerating revenue growth and customer retention by delivering effective renewal strategies and exceptional customer value. You'll have the opportunity to influence business outcomes and work closely with cross-functional partners. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a sales focused role
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • 2+ years of experience using Salesforce

What will you be doing in this role?
  • Manage your team of salespeople to deliver against their and your objectives
  • Manage a large, high-value portfolio of renewals, developing high-impact retention strategies for sustained long-term revenue growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty
  • Demonstrate advanced sales and negotiation skills, to influence key stakeholders and effectively manage cross-functional teams
  • Drive significant revenue growth by identifying and building opportunities for cross selling, upselling, and developing new business initiatives within the team
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and product developments to effectively position Clarivate's offerings
  • Demonstrate strong operational excellence through consistent data accuracy, organized pipeline management, and thorough documentation within Salesforce.

Management Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 5 colleagues

  • Lead, direct, and review the team's work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with significant contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team, department and organization

  • Influence diverse stakeholder groups and drive acceptance of policies, practices and procedures within broader area of responsibility.

  • Influence strategic initiatives at the department-level and provide input on strategic initiatives for the organization

  • Deliver consistent and timely training, guidance and feedback to encourage success and promote colleague growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities

About the Team
You will be a part of the Retention Team within the IP Sales team at Clarivate. The team works closely with cross-functional partners and customers across the US. You'll also work in close partnership with the EMEA Renewals Manager, as a trusted collaborator and mentor.
Hours of Work
  • This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days a week in one of Clarivate offices
  • Work hours will be regular business hours in EST with the ability to flex as needed to accommodate a global organization

Compensation - US Only
The expected base salary for this position is $112,500 - $125,000 USD per year. This role is eligible for incentive earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
