REPORTS TO:ย ย ย ย 
Special Education Supervisor or Special Education Director
SCHEDULE:ย ย ย ย 
School year position following the district calendar
STARTING WAGE:ย ย ย ย 
According to the MEA Contract. $14.37 per hour, or higher - based on actual years of experience
STARTING DATE:ย ย ย ย 
2026-2027 School Year (August 2026)
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Speech Facilitator is responsible for assisting the virtual Speech and Language Pathologist, Itinerant staff and others in the support of instruction. The Speech Facilitator may be assigned to one virtual Speech and Language Pathologist or to a variety of assignments depending on the needs of the students and the virtual Speech and Language Pathologist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ย ย ย ย High school diploma or equivalency required; two years college preferred.ย 
ย ย ย ย First Aid and CPR Certification. ย 
ย ย ย ย Work experience with individuals with developmental, emotional, physical and cognitive impairments preferred.ย 
ย ย ย ย Working knowledge of training techniques, behavior modification, and task analysis. Proven exercise in reasonable judgment in handling challenges until supervisory back-up is provided.
ย ย ย ย Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with students, parents, community, peers.
ย ย ย ย Ability to understand and work with children of all ages. ย 
ย ย ย ย Must be familiar with the terminology and provisions of the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
