Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is looking for a world class Senior Controls Engineer to lead software development for our next-generation Special Purpose Machines (SPM) for manufacturing custom-made prosthetics. This role will be a key member of the EPD Manufacturing team, driving the development and integration of new machines and processes needed to power Dandy’s rapid growth.

This role will require heavy travel (50%) to our Indianapolis + Provo locations.

What You’ll Do

Act as overall owner for the SCADA layer of Dandy’s machines, as well as technical point of contact both internally and externally for Dandy’s communication and control architecture.

Collaborate with internal engineering teams and 3rd-party integrators to build and ramp machines from initial POC to high volume production.

Define and lead implementation of a standardized platform for all of Dandy’s machine software that supports testing, observability, release, and more.

Perform hands‑on work with full‑scale production equipment, from initial commissioning to mass production and ramp.

Collaborate with broad range of technical expertise throughout the company

What We're Looking For

8+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high growth startup.

Substantial experience in manufacturing software, including SCADA (ideally, Ignition) and PLC programming.

Working knowledge of dev‑ops and full‑stack development.

Self‑motivated and self‑managing, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
