Work Environment

The role is based in our outpatient clinic in Salem, Virginia, where the team operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends as necessary for special medical events or emergencies. The clinic is equipped with advanced medical technologies and resources that support a high standard of patient care in a fast-paced and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient appointments, ensuring accurate scheduling and timely reminders, while maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations.
  • Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precise medical information, enabling quick access for healthcare providers to facilitate coordinated care.
  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, collect detailed medical histories, and ensure patients are comfortable and informed prior to examinations.
  • Assist physicians during evaluations and minor procedures, ensuring an organized and sterile environment with all necessary equipment readily available.
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory tests, including proper labeling and documentation to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
  • Administer medications, including injections, under physician supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and dosage guidelines.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as blood glucose monitoring and EKGs, efficiently processing results to aid in timely patient assessment.
  • Educate patients on medication instructions, procedures, and healthcare best practices, building trust and promoting health literacy.
  • Measure vital signs and carry out routine patient care tasks, ensuring comprehensive documentation for continuous care monitoring.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including the sterilization of instruments and inventory management for medical supplies.

Compensation and Benefits

City Cardiology offers competitive compensation within the range of USD 35,000 – 45,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and education.
