You will play a critical role in delivering compassionate and effective counseling services to clients facing a diverse range of emotional, psychological, and relational challenges.

About the Organization

Citrus Counseling and Psychological Services is a community health clinic located in Washoe Valley, Nevada, committed to providing high-quality behavioral health care in a supportive and empathetic environment. Our mission focuses on ensuring accessibility to mental health services for the community we serve, emphasizing equity, integrity, and heartfelt care. This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to balance your professional commitments with your personal life. As part of our outpatient team, you will have the opportunity to work across various typical office hours—from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM—while enjoying the benefits of working independently and connecting with clients virtually. You will collaborate closely with other mental health professionals through regular team meetings and consultations.

Key Responsibilities

As an LCPC, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their specific goals and concerns.
  • Providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches rooted in empathy and understanding.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support ongoing treatment.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to offer holistic care that considers the client’s overall well-being.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development by participating in team consultations, supervision, and training opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families coping with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your ability to empathize and generate trust will be vital as you support clients from various backgrounds, working diligently to ensure they feel heard and understood.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A valid and active Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credential in the state of Nevada or eligibility for licensure.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling role, with a strong emphasis on outpatient therapy.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; a higher degree in counseling or psychology is preferred.
Preferred Experience

Successful candidates will also demonstrate:

  • Expertise in systemic therapy, trauma-informed care, and culturally sensitive practices.
  • A solid understanding of family systems theory and relational models of therapy.
  • Experience in providing counseling services to diverse populations, showcasing cultural humility and inclusiveness in practice.
  • A passion for making a meaningful impact in clients' lives and a commitment to professional growth.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, including performance-based incentives. Additionally, you will have access to:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • A 401(k) plan with an employer match to help you save for your future.
  • Continuing education units (CEUs) allowance and designated paid training days to foster your professional development.
  • Clinical supervision as needed for new or developing professionals.
  • Flexible scheduling options that accommodate both your life and your client needs.
  • Relocation assistance or a signing bonus for qualified candidates, enhancing our commitment to bringing the best talent to our community.
