About Chronos

At Chronos, we provide remote veterinary support services to animal hospitals across the country. Our mission is to deliver exceptional client communication while helping veterinary teams improve efficiency, patient compliance, and the overall client experience.

We're looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician who enjoys working with clients just as much as patients. In this unique remote role, you'll use your veterinary knowledge to support hospitals through reception, client communication, patient reactivation, and on-call coverage.

Position Description

As a Remote Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will perform many of the responsibilities traditionally handled by a veterinary receptionist while utilizing your clinical knowledge to educate clients, improve compliance, and support veterinary hospitals remotely.

This dual-role position combines client service and reception responsibilities with patient reactivation, helping reconnect overdue patients with recommended care while also providing remote coverage during vacations, holidays, and unexpected staffing shortages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls, text messages, and emails for multiple veterinary hospitals.
  • Schedule appointments and provide exceptional client service.
  • Educate clients on veterinarian-recommended wellness care and common surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, dentals, mass removals, and preventive care.
  • Contact overdue clients to improve patient compliance and schedule recommended appointments.
  • Accurately document client interactions within each hospital's practice management software.
  • Navigate multiple veterinary practice management systems (PIMS).
  • Provide remote reception coverage during scheduled and on-call shifts.
Qualifications
  • Active LVT, CVT, or RVT license preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a general practice veterinary hospital.
  • Previous experience performing both technician and client service/reception responsibilities is strongly preferred.
  • Strong client communication and education skills.
  • Comfortable discussing veterinarian recommendations and common GP procedures with pet owners.
  • Experience working in multiple veterinary practice management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • To be considered for this position, your speed test must show a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 9 Mbps upload.
