Chroma Early Learning Academy is a high-quality early education and childcare program serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years. We are committed to providing safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environments while fostering strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

Position Summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a dependable and energetic Floater / Afterschool Teacher to support classrooms throughout the day and provide engaging supervision for school-age children during afterschool hours. This role is ideal for someone flexible, collaborative, and passionate about working with children of varying ages.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classrooms as needed to maintain proper teacher-to-child ratios
  • Assist lead teachers with daily routines, activities, and transitions
  • Provide supervision and enrichment activities for afterschool students
  • Create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with children and encourage appropriate behavior
  • Follow all licensing, safety, and Chroma Early Learning Academy policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom and shared spaces
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or childcare coursework preferred)
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or afterschool setting preferred
  • Ability to work with multiple age groups
  • Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to meet all Georgia DECAL and licensing requirements

Schedule

  • Flexible hours; may include mornings, afternoons, and afterschool hours
  • Additional hours available based on center needs

Nice To Haves
  • CPR Certification
  • Previous experience in childcare
