Role Description This Legal Assistant role is an on-site position based in Lake Mary, FL. The Legal Assistant will support the attorney with preparing and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, and managing calendars and deadlines. Daily tasks include drafting correspondence, assisting with legal forms, filing and scanning documents, and coordinating with courts, clients, and third parties as needed. The role also involves answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling various administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly. The Legal Assistant will be expected to maintain confidentiality, follow established procedures, and ensure accurate, timely completion of all assigned work.

Qualifications

• The ability to work independently with no outside distractions such as side jobs or side businesses.
• Strong foundation in law-related work, with familiarity with legal processes, terminology, and the role of Legal Assistants.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with clients, courts, and colleagues.
• Experience with administrative assistance, such as scheduling, file management, data entry, and office organization.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfort using standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and basic legal or case management systems.
• Ability to work on-site, maintain professional demeanor, and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Prior experience in a law office or legal support role is preferred; relevant coursework or certification in legal studies is a plus.
