Tuxedo Hospitality is a New York City based hospitality group, establishing its mark on NYC in 2016 with the opening of Chinese Tuxedo in the heart of Chinatown. The group currently features Chinese Tuxedo, Opera House, The Tyger and Soso's in its portfolio. We are in need of a dynamic Assistant General Manager who will be a key member in our continuing growth. 

The successful candidate will be drive a world class, best in category restaurant and bar operation. Inspire and mentor a high performance front of house team. Connect, collaborate and increase productivity with the back of house leadership. 

Primary responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity of workplace and team culture
• Influence team productivity while committing to guest experience excellence   
• Direct all hiring and training for the front of house team
• Uphold company food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff
• Work with Operations on executing and forecasting budgets
• Facilitate a weekly leadership meeting with a focus on people development and business growth.
• Ensure all Tuxedo Hospitality policies, as stated in the employee handbook, are adhered to by all team members

What we’re offering

• A positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment.
• Salary range of $90,000 - $95,000 per year plus benefits
• Opportunities for advancement
• 15 days paid annual leave inclusive of annual salary. Annual leave is accrued pro rata and can be compensated after completion of a 90-day probationary period.
• Health Insurance after 90 days of full-time employment

Chinese Tuxedo is an award-winning contemporary Chinese restaurant located within a 19th Century opera house on Manhattan’s Chinatown historic Doyers St. Having opened in 2016 to packed dining rooms and critical acclaim, we have continued to grow each year.
