Summary:
The
Speech and Language Coordinator (Speech and Language Pathologist on Special Assignment)is a member of the School Age Speech & Language team assigned to support administration and staff with program implementation. The TOSA promotes a productive and positive self-concept by providing supportive, non-evaluative assistance.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Review ERs/RRs/IEPs; provide feedback where appropriate
- Onboard and support new staff with scheduled check-ins
- Hold virtual office hours for staff to problem solve/trouble shoot, discuss cases,etc.
- Schedule, develop and conduct staff trainings and PD, complete Act 48 paperwork per supervisory request
- Participate in interviewing process as requested
- Review staff schedules/caseloads and make recommendations to supervisor
- Support work to achieve program goals/administrative goals
- Assist with identifying/reporting program accomplishments for monthly Board reports
- Assist with coverage needs across the program
- Support specialized evaluations and service requests as needed
- Provide clinical fellow supervision
- Attend administration meetings as requested
- Support, oversee committees and work groups as requested
- Recommend purchase of equipment supplies and materials and identified based on observed program needs
- Additional duties as assigned to meet program needs
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- PA Certification in Speech/Language required
- Minimum of a Masters-level degree in Speech/Language required
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a speech-language pathologist required
Professional or Other Required Clearances
- Completion of Special Education Supervisor or Principal Certification, or in process of completion preferred
- PA State Licensure preferred
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
Salary 2026-27 Extended School Year:
- $81,857- $118,630 - all SLPs with Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Sciences Disorders (Track I)
** Placement on salary range is determined by years of experience
213 days 1st year, 210 days 2nd year, 209 days 3rd year and beyond. 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week (inclusive of summer)
