We are looking for skilled cooks seeking supplemental or secondary income and stay-at-home parents with strong cooking skills looking for flexible weekday work. This part time position is for cooks who live near the Louisville, KY and Jeffersonville, IN, areas and are willing to travel throughout the Kentuckiana area. At Chefs For Seniors, we believe in making a difference in the lives of seniors through the power of nutritious food. Join our team as an In-Home Cook and enjoy the rewarding experience of helping older adults stay healthy and independent.

We also believe that you should not have to sacrifice your evenings and weekends in order to pursue a rewarding career in cooking. Our cooks primarily work Monday to Friday, between 8 am to 7 pm. Occasionally, there may be optional evening and weekend opportunities for dinner parties when available.

If you possess a culinary degree or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge, own a reliable vehicle, have a smartphone, excel in interpersonal skills, boast a repertoire of diverse dishes that you can prepare from scratch, and pass or have a current background check we would love to have a conversation with you.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and cook meals at different client locations

· Understand dietary restrictions and preferences of each client

· Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment

· Provide friendly, empathetic, and professional customer service

· Collaborate with our team to improve our services

Requirements:

· Legally authorized to work in the US

· Possess a valid driver’s license and working vehicle

· A working smartphone with a data plan

· Ability to lift 25+ pounds

· 2+ years of experience cooking in a commercial kitchen is helpful

· Licensed with food handlers certification (i.e. ServSafe Manager certification)

· Genuine interest in working with the senior population

· High school diploma or equivalent
