Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
*The Spray Technician operates spray trucks and Ultra Low Volume (ULV) equipment in compliance with federal, state, and County regulations to treat assigned areas.
*Responsibilities include working with various pesticides, maintaining operational records, updating spray maps, and assisting with equipment and truck refurbishment during non-mosquito season.
*Additional duties include supporting mosquito field activities and maintaining a clean, safe vehicle and workspace.
*Familiarity with Charleston County geography is a plus.
*
Night and weekend shifts are required during active mosquito season.
Minimum Qualifications
*High school diploma or equivalent
*Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
*Commitment to providing excellent customer service
*Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
*Ability to lift 55 lbs.
*Reliable transportation
*Valid South Carolina driver's license with a safe driving record
*Ability to obtain a Category 8 pesticide applicator's license within 6 months of hire
*Willingness to report during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
*Ability to read maps and follow directions
